About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Teacher of Psychology to join our thriving Sixth Form team from September. The successful candidate will teach Year 12 and Year 13 Psychology, delivering engaging and high-quality lessons that inspire students and support excellent academic outcomes.
This role is ideal for a teacher with a strong subject passion who is committed to developing students’ critical thinking, analytical skills, and academic confidence in preparation for higher education and future careers.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality Psychology lessons to Year 12 and Year 13 students
- Prepare students effectively for A Level examinations
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
- Develop engaging schemes of work and learning resources
- Provide academic support and enrichment opportunities for students
- Contribute to the wider Sixth Form and departmental activities
- Maintain accurate records and meet all assessment and reporting deadlines
- Uphold high standards of behaviour and classroom management
Person Specification
Essential
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (or willingness to work towards)
- Degree in Psychology or a related subject
- Strong subject knowledge at A Level standard
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
- Ability to motivate and inspire post-16 learners
