Music Teacher
Job Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, skilled, and committed Music Teacher to join our school on a permanent basis starting September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to lead and inspire students through a dynamic and engaging music curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality music lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Inspire and engage students in a range of musical styles, instruments, and performance techniques.
- Organise and lead extra-curricular music activities such as choirs, bands, and school concerts.
- Foster a love of music and encourage students of all abilities to participate and progress.
- Prepare students for music exams, performances, and qualifications such as GCSE or A-Level Music.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the arts faculty and contribute to the wider school community.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment that supports learning for all.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Degree in Music or a related field.
- Experience teaching music in a UK school environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of music theory, performance, and composition.
- Proficiency in at least one instrument and confidence in leading ensembles
